H2: Job Summary and Responsibilities

- Exciting opportunity to work with the latest tax technologies in the real estate industry
- Provide tax compliance and consulting services to investment management clients
- Identify and analyze complex tax issues for a variety of entities and their affiliates
- Review partnership work papers, allocations, and tax returns
- Prepare materials and research for consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities
- Communicate and coordinate with client contacts to gather necessary information for tax returns
- Train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced-level tax staff
- Attend required trainings for Deloitte Tax LLP and specific industry sectors
- Opportunity to work in a hybrid model, with in-person work required 2-3 days per week
- Travel up to 25% may be required, depending on client and industry served
- Must have at least 3 years of experience in tax planning or preparing tax returns
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field required
- Basic understanding of Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and real estate fund tax compliance
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, team environment preferred
- Active accreditation such as CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, or CFA/CFP preferred
- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM preferred
- Experience working in a virtual and/or global environment preferred
- Passion for leveraging technology and exploring new solutions
- Familiarity with accounting for income taxes according to ASC740 preferred
