Director of Business Development, Legal, Compliance, and Risk:

- Responsible for driving, monitoring and improving sales performance for BDO’s service offerings
- Builds sales presence and identifies new business opportunities in line with firm, regional, and office strategies
- Develops new revenue opportunities in target markets such as attorneys, corporate counsel, compliance, and risk professionals
- Brings a strong network of C-Suite and legal market contacts
- Creates and executes business development plans with practice leaders
- Identifies necessary activities for driving opportunities and defines cross-selling and key account programs
- Facilitates monthly meetings with Regional BD Director and practice leaders
- Understands service capabilities and reports on market perceptions, competitor activity, and market pulse
- Coordinates with BDO Alliance USA and BDO International member firms
- Negotiates pricing and delivery of services with prospects
- Provides feedback to National Business Development Services
- Manages sales processes and maintains compliance with national processes
- Has advanced knowledge in business development planning, lead generation, event planning, pipeline management, and sales strategy
- Develops relationships with C-Suite executives, Board of Directors, and referral sources
- Influences, leads, and manages change in a matrix environment
- Possesses strong business acumen
- Knowledge of contact management software
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to travel up to 50% annually

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- Advanced degree preferred (JD, MBA)
- 15+ years of business development/marketing experience in a professional services environment
- Experience in accounting, financial consulting, business advisory services, and/or banking preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools

Salary Information:

- California: $150,000 - $200,000
- Colorado: $150,000 - $200,000
- New York City/Valhalla: $150,000 - $200,000
- Washington: $150,000 - $200,000
