The ideal candidate should possess 3-4 years of patent litigation experience and have an active membership in the State Bar, along with compliance with CLE requirements. This position requires excellent academic credentials, superior writing skills, and the ability to conduct complex and detailed analyses of legal matters. The candidate should thrive in a team-oriented environment and be enthusiastic about working with a diverse group of clients, attorneys, and staff.

Job Duties:

• Conduct research, analysis, and case preparation for patent litigation matters.
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates on patent litigation cases.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Assist in the development of case strategy and provide legal advice to clients.
• Participate in client meetings and communicate effectively with clients on case progress.
• Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date on relevant patent laws and regulations.
• Perform due diligence and discovery tasks in patent litigation cases.
• Prepare for and participate in court appearances and hearings.

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of patent litigation experience.
• Active membership in the State Bar and compliance with CLE requirements.
• Strong technical or scientific background.
• For life sciences cases, there is a preference for candidates with advanced degrees.
• For technical backgrounds, preference for degrees in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or closely related fields.
• Superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
• Strong analytical skills for detailed legal analysis.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, attorneys, and staff.
• Enthusiasm for working within a team-oriented environment and contributing to effective team relationships.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Advanced degrees in life sciences (preferred for relevant cases).
• Technical degrees in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or related fields (preferred for technical cases).

Certifications:
