Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing and developing the company's risk management program
- Review contracts and agreements to identify and mitigate potential risks
- Educate team members on risks and assist in contract negotiations
- Implement contract and subconsultant management program
- Handle labor and employment matters
- Coordinate with insurers to ensure appropriate insurance coverage
- Assist with pre- and post-acquisition activities
- Manage claims, subpoenas, and litigation
- Ensure corporate compliance with anti-bribery, data privacy, government relations, and other regulatory matters
- Handle general corporate legal matters for domestic and foreign operations
- Stay updated on legal developments affecting company operations
- Assist with dispute resolution during contract performance
- Review and negotiate commercial leases
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree required
- 6-8 years experience as an attorney
- Licensed in Connecticut or in a jurisdiction capable of waiving into Connecticut Bar
- General construction experience required
- Experience with drafting and negotiating professional consulting documents
- Knowledge of risk management in the construction industry
- Experience with project management, construction management, cost management, consultant, and confidentiality agreements
- Familiarity with insurance coverages in the construction industry
- Experience with general corporate matters and regulatory compliance
- Preferred: litigation experience, familiarity with contract and document management software, in-house corporate experience, and merger and acquisition experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solid legal research skills
