About the Role:

DoorDash is seeking an experienced attorney with a background in insurance and/or personal injury litigation to join our growing legal team. As Insurance Litigation Counsel, you will be responsible for managing a docket of litigated and pre-litigated matters. We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, a results-driven mindset, high business acumen, excellent analytical and writing skills, and a self-motivated attitude. In this role, you will report to the Senior Counsel, Insurance Litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage a growing docket of personal injury and interpersonal matters
- Strategize on scalable processes and procedures for efficient and consistent handling of personal injury matters
- Prepare and respond to discovery and dispositive motions
- Work with outside counsel to ensure consistent and effective handling and reporting of information from ongoing personal injury matters
- Manage all aspects of outside counsel relationships, including litigation strategy, work product, and budgets

What We're Looking For:

- 4+ years of experience at a leading law firm and/or in-house legal department, handling insurance litigation, coverage issues, and/or pre-litigation disputes
- Familiarity with personal injury litigation, including managing the collection, review, and production of documents, preparing witnesses for depositions and/or trial testimony, and complying with third party subpoenas
- Ability to provide practical and creative legal solutions, balancing risks and business rewards
- Commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Positive attitude and willingness to take on any task, big or small

Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this position is $180,900 - $285,600 USD. Actual compensation within the range will be determined based on factors such as skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan with an employer match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, wellbeing benefits, paid time off, paid parental leave, and several paid holidays. In addition to base salary, this role also includes opportunities for equity grants.

California Pay Range: $180,900 - $285,600 USD
