Overview:

Baker Tilly is currently seeking a Tax Associate for their Houston, Texas office. This is an entry-level position, perfect for recent graduates looking to launch their career in the accounting field. As a Tax Associate, you will be responsible for providing tax advisory and compliance services to clients, ranging from middle market to multinational companies. You will have the opportunity to work on various tax issues, participate in tax research projects, and develop recommendations for clients to consider.

Responsibilities:

As a Tax Associate at Baker Tilly, you will have the opportunity to:

Work with a variety of clients, including privately held and publicly traded companies in all stages of development
Become a trusted business advisor, working closely with clients to find solutions to complex accounting and business challenges
Receive on-the-job coaching and mentoring, as well as participate in firm-wide learning and development programs
Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build relationships with clients
Gain valuable experience and develop your client service and technical accounting skills

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, law, or a related business field with sufficient course work to sit for the CPA and/or Bar exam in the state of consideration
A minimum GPA of or above
Relevant internship or work experience, or involvement in a professional organization
Strong time management, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft programs

Salary Information:

The salary for this position ranges from $55,000 to $65,000 per year.
