The ideal candidate will possess strong courtroom advocacy skills, knowledge of Minnesota municipal appeals process, and a commitment to upholding the law.

 

Duties:

  • Provide prosecution services for petty misdemeanor, misdemeanor, and gross misdemeanor cases
  • Advocate in court hearings, from arraignment to jury trial
  • Conduct charging, drafting, and research for criminal cases
  • Maintain knowledge of Minnesota municipal appeals process and criminal prosecution law
  • Perform on-call court coverage as needed
  • Handle special projects and duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice law in Minnesota and in good standing
  • 3-10 years of experience in criminal prosecution
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritization abilities

 

Education:

Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Admitted to practice law in Minnesota
