The Contracting Counsel Senior Manager is a key role within Accenture, responsible for leading and managing complex client transactions while mitigating risk and ensuring ethical behavior and compliance. This is a senior level position, with a minimum of 8 years of transactional experience required, and a JD degree (or equivalent). The role involves working closely with Accenture's client executives and negotiating teams, as well as outside counsel. The successful candidate will have a strong executive presence, excellent communication skills, and a good understanding of contracting/risk issues related to digital, consulting, systems integration, and outsourcing transactions. They should also have experience and demonstrated capability in conducting investigations and advising senior leadership on legal and risk management issues.

The Contracting Counsel Senior Manager will report to the Contracting Lead and will oversee and provide guidance to junior CLPs as needed. This role requires travel and may not be suitable for candidates currently employed by a client of Accenture or an affiliated business.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

- Leading, structuring, negotiating and closing complex client transactions to be most advantageous from a legal and business perspective
- Overseeing, counseling, guiding, training and supporting junior CLPs and, in some cases, other senior CLPs
- Staying abreast of developments affecting the company, its clients, and industries and incorporating this information into company's transactional practices
- Educating and advising company executives on legal and risk management issues
- Developing subject matter expertise in one or more areas that benefit Legal and/or the business
- Participating in developing internal guidelines, toolkits, and packaged knowledge capital on various legal and business issues
- Supporting, promoting and implementing Legal Group initiatives
- Embracing and evolving to gain expertise in seven Contracting attributes: pathfinder, architect, business-minded, nonconformist, inspired, relevant and technology-enabled contracting professional.

Qualifications for this role include:

- Juris Doctorate (or equivalent) and authorized and licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
- Minimum of 8 years transactional experience in digital, consulting, systems integration, and/or outsourcing areas in a law firm or a corporate legal/transaction group
- Minimum of 4 years of experience negotiating Intellectual Property and Data Privacy issues preferred
- Accomplished negotiator with an understanding of principle-based negotiation strategy and tactics
- Proven ability to efficiently manage a large volume of transactions independently
- Experience negotiating and drafting technology-based agreements
- Understanding of basic principles of Finance, Accounting, Marketing, and Management.

Professional skills required for this role include:

- Strong executive presence
- Good understanding of contracting/risk issues related to digital, consulting, systems integration, and outsourcing transactions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience and demonstrated capability in conducting and supervising investigations and in drafting confidential reports
- In-depth knowledge of local ethical/conduct/compliance-related risks, employee rights and obligations, and related laws
- Extensive experience in employee relations and workplace investigations
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork in a professional setting.

Compensation for this role varies depending on location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington.
