Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level to Senior Associate Attorney to join its Debt Finance Practice in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience and must be admitted to and a member in good standing of the District of Columbia Bar.

Duties:

  • Handle various secured lending matters, including domestic and cross-border acquisitions, restructuring and reorganizations, and general corporate finance.
  • Act as a key member of deal teams, taking responsibility for running signings and closings and drafting debt commitment papers and credit documentation.
  • Provide support and guidance on direct lending, special situation financings, out-of-court and in-court restructurings, and private equity-related corporate finance transactions.

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in debt finance practice.
  • Admission to and a member in good standing of the District of Columbia Bar.
  • Proven track record of handling secured lending matters and corporate finance transactions.
  • Experience with signings and closings, drafting debt commitment papers, and credit documentation.
  • Exposure to direct lending, special situation financings, and restructuring transactions is beneficial.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the District of Columbia Bar.
