The ideal candidate will be involved in legal research, writing, and counseling clients on legal, commercial, and technology matters related to the telecommunications industry. Experience working at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) or on FCC regulatory matters is highly desired. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a track record of insightful research and analysis, are essential.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on telecommunications law and regulations
  • Provide counsel to clients on legal, commercial, and technology matters in the telecommunications industry
  • Assist with merger approval processes
  • Handle satellite licensing and regulation issues
  • Address net neutrality and statutory satellite copyright license matters
  • Manage programming disputes and terrestrial spectrum licensing
  • Navigate electronic surveillance law and privacy and data protection regulations
  • Draft legal memoranda, reports, and client communications
  • Participate in client meetings and negotiations
  • Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and development

 

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience in telecommunications law
  • Experience working at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) preferred
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active Bar membership in DC in good standing

 

Education:
