Job Title

Associate Attorney - Bankruptcy and Creditor's Rights

Experience Information

- At least 1 year of experience in bankruptcy and/or creditor's rights with a working knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code
- Admitted to practice law in Florida and Federal Districts in Florida, with familiarity of Florida bankruptcy courts, local rules, and procedures
- Experience with consumer loan documents and bankruptcy litigation is a plus

Responsibilities

- Manage contested or litigated bankruptcy cases
- Draft and review all pleadings and claims filed on behalf of clients
- Respond to objections and motions related to client rights
- Attend scheduled hearings and respond to general bankruptcy inquiries
- Communicate regularly with clients

Required Skills

- Knowledge of bankruptcy rules and laws, as well as general creditor rights laws
- Advanced computer literacy and ability to learn and utilize case management systems
- Familiarity with CM/ECF filing system
- Strong work ethic and professionalism
- Attention to detail and organization
- Effective time management
- Excellent communication skills

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
