KidsVoice, a non-profit organization, is currently seeking a Staff Attorney to join our team and advocate for children of abuse and neglect in their dependency proceedings in Allegheny County. As a Staff Attorney, you will work collaboratively with Child Advocacy Specialists to ensure that the best interests of the child are represented in the community and in court. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children.

Responsibilities:

- Provide legal representation to KidsVoice's clients
- Advocate for the child in court and other forums
- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Counsel clients on the role of KidsVoice, court hearings, and services
- Conduct visits and interviews with clients in their current living environment
- Prepare cases and maintain case files in a shared caseload with other staff
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development

Qualifications:

- JD degree from an accredited law school
- Prior legal experience, preferably 1-2 years of litigation and courtroom experience
- Current PA Attorney License
- Knowledge of child development and/or child welfare issues preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Salary: The salary for this position ranges from $45,000 to $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
