With a team of over 300 attorneys, CLS is the leader in the courtroom at each stage of a Chapter 39 proceeding. Responsibilities for this position include advocating for the safety, well-being, and permanency of children by ensuring legal requirements are met to secure permanent and safe homes. This involves collaborating with investigators and case managers to gather evidence and prepare for trial. CLS attorneys are expected to use best practice litigation techniques to lead the nation in dependency advocacy. To be considered for this role, candidates must have a law degree and be a member of the Florida Bar. Supervising attorney experience is preferred, along with strong communication and writing skills. Training will be provided through a multi-week onboarding program and quarterly intensive training sessions.
