Litigation Associate – Commercial Litigation Salt Lake City, UT Armstrong Teasdale, an Am Law 200 firm of 400 attorneys across 18 offices internationally, is seeking a Litigation Associate with 4+ years of experience in Salt Lake City, UT. The candidate will manage a diverse caseload of litigation matters related to commercial disputes, bankruptcy, cooperatives & condominiums, foreclosures, and construction. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join a well-respected law firm and handle a variety of challenging and complex cases. The Litigation Associate will be responsible for managing all aspects of litigation, including initial case evaluations, drafting pleadings and motions, and handling communications with clients, opposing parties, and affiliated parties. They will also assist with developing case strategies and managing case schedules. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of litigation experience, including State and/or Federal courtroom experience, hearings, and taking/defending depositions. They should also have experience with drafting pleadings and motions and running the day-to-day on litigation matters. Responsibilities: Manage a diverse caseload of litigation matters related to commercial disputes, bankruptcy, cooperatives & condominiums, foreclosures, and construction. Assist with all aspects of litigation including initial case evaluations, drafting pleadings and motions, and handling communications with clients, opposing parties, and affiliated parties. Develop case strategies and manage case schedules. Handle all aspects of discovery, including preparing and responding to discovery requests, handling and/or overseeing aspects of e-discovery, and defending/taking depositions. Handle hearings in federal and state court proceedings and/or at arbitration. Handle settlement conferences and mediations, including preparing and providing strategy regarding position statements or settlement offers. Prepare for and/or handle arbitrations and trials or aspects of them. Qualifications: 4+ years of litigation experience. State and/or Federal courtroom experience, hearings, and taking/defending depositions. Experience with drafting pleadings and motions. Ability to run the day-to-day on litigation matters. Outstanding academic credentials. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school and admission to the Utah State Bar.
