Position Summary:

- Tax Senior role in the Financial Services Industry, specifically in Hedge Fund Tax
- Responsible for identifying complex tax issues and providing tax analyses for hedge fund clients

Job Responsibilities:

- Identify and analyze complex tax issues for hedge fund clients and their affiliates
- Review tax workpapers, allocations, and tax returns in detail
- Conduct research to advise on transactional and tax planning opportunities with support from Washington National Tax group
- Build relationships and communicate with client contacts to gather information
- Train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced staff
- Attend required Deloitte Tax LLP and sector-specific training

- Comprised of over 1,400 partners, principals, and employees providing tax services to a broad range of Investment Management companies
- Clients include hedge funds, private equity, family offices, mutual funds, and other investment managers

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work in a hybrid work model, requiring in-person co-location 2-3 days per week
- 3+ years of experience providing tax planning services or preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
- Licensed CPA, attorney, enrolled agent, or other relevant certifications
- Ability to travel up to 25% based on work and client needs

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM
- Previous experience at a Big 4 firm
- Basic understanding of Subchapter K, financial products, and aggregate allocations
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting

Salary Information:

- Wage range for this role is $63,420 to $126,620, taking into account factors such as skill sets, experience, and certifications
- Eligible for participation in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to program rules and performance
