This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney with 2-6 years of litigation experience to join a growing and dynamic team. Position Overview: The Financial Institutions & Creditors Rights Litigation Associate will handle a wide variety of financial institutions and creditors rights litigation, as well as general commercial litigation. This includes bankruptcy litigation over use of cash collateral, prejudgment remedies, motions for relief from stay and adequate protection, state and federal receivership cases, creditor’s rights litigation including actions on guarantees, lender liability claims, and fraudulent transfer and preference actions. The ideal candidate will have strong research, legal analysis, writing skills and interest in trial work. Experience as a clerk for a bankruptcy judge is a plus, but not required. Responsibilities: - Handle a wide range of financial institutions and creditors rights litigation - Handle general commercial litigation, including breach of contract, fraud, etc. - Conduct legal research and analysis - Draft legal documents - Represent clients in court - Participate in trial preparation - Participate in client meetings Qualifications: - 2-6 years of litigation experience - Current member of the State Bar of California in good standing - Strong research, legal analysis, writing skills - Interest in trial work - Proven self-starter - Ability to work as part of a larger team Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
