The Matian Firm, APC is seeking an admitted attorney with experience in criminal defense and/or immigration law to join our growing team as a Post-Conviction Relief Attorney. This is a highly promising opportunity for a dedicated Associate Attorney to gain valuable experience and advance their career with a premier law firm in the Southern California area. As a Post-Conviction Relief Attorney, you will work closely with our Supervising Attorney and collaborate with our team of attorneys and legal assistants to handle post-conviction relief cases.

Responsibilities:

- Provide legal counsel and draft legal documents for clients
- Manage post-conviction relief cases, including motions to vacate, expungements, and early termination of probation
- Attend motion hearings and advise clients on best strategies following each hearing
- Handle open criminal cases, including arraignments, pre-trials, and pleas
- Conduct legal research and analyze probable outcomes of cases
- Manage workload and provide legal analysis for clients

Qualifications:

- Experience in criminal defense or immigration law
- Familiarity with handling criminal cases at the state and local level
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required

Salary Information:

- Pay range: $80,000 to $110,000 annually
- Possibility for higher pay depending on experience
