For the role of Data Protection Senior Associate, the key responsibilities include:

- Supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of the EY data protection program
- Documenting and investigating data incidents, collaborating with clients and internal functions to understand root cause and develop remediation plans
- Maintaining an inventory of confidential and personal information and responding to data subject rights and data access requests
- Assisting in responding to client inquiries about the data protection program and analyzing legal and regulatory developments
- Maintaining and updating data protection policies and providing guidance to EY personnel on data protection requirements
- Collaborating with various functions across the organization to design and implement controls for protecting confidential and personal information
- Creating reports on data protection program activities for senior leaders within the organization
- Continuously expanding knowledge of data protection laws and regulations and participating in ad-hoc projects as needed.

To qualify for this role, candidates should have:

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Understanding of data protection issues and concerns within a business context
- Problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative
- Flexibility and ability to assess and manage risk
- Strong research and project management skills
- Knowledge of information systems and software packages
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, with a graduate degree or Juris Doctorate preferred
- 1-4 years of related experience.

The ideal candidate will also have:

- Knowledge and experience with reviewing complex data protection situations and proposing solutions
- Familiarity with global, national, and local data protection laws, regulations, and standards
- Understanding of technology trends and issues surrounding data protection
- Privacy certification from ISACA or the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
