Job Summary:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Counsel to join their Legal Department in the Public Affairs Section of the Public, Regulatory, and Corporate Affairs Division. This position will support the company's engagement efforts on public affairs related items, including legislative advocacy, philanthropy, and external communications. The Counsel will provide guidance on legal matters, research and analyze regulations and legislation, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

- Provide guidance to internal clients on legal matters, including risk assessment, planning, and policy decisions
- Advise on the impact of policy, legal, and regulatory changes
- Collaborate with the legal department and other business functions to address legal and risk issues
- Participate in initiatives and provide guidance to less experienced counsel or paralegals
- Partner and coordinate with outside counsel
- Research and analyze state and federal regulations and legislation
- Develop advice on complex legal issues using public and company resources
- Utilize online research tools and internal databases
- Understand the company's lines of business and risk management framework
- Stay up-to-date on legislative and regulatory processes
- Have a broad knowledge of Wells Fargo's businesses, services, and product lines

Qualifications:

- 2+ years of law experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- Active State Bar membership

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience as a practicing attorney
- Knowledge of political law matters
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
- Familiarity with online research tools and databases
- Knowledge of legislative and regulatory processes
