Washington, . office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks FERC energy attorney with 5+ years of legal experience, including a law firm, FERC, state public utility commission, in-house for a city, municipal utility, or rural electric cooperative. The candidate should have experience: Administrative litigation before FERC and/or state regulatory commissions (including research, drafting pleadings, developing strategy, settlement negotiations, administrative hearings, and appellate representation) regarding electricity and/or natural gas issues; Contract negotiation involving transmission or generation services or assets, including renewable resources; Representation regarding organized market developments, including energy, imbalance, and capacity market issues; Review and development of electric and/or gas tariffs; Advising with regards to NERC Reliability Standards compliance; Municipalization, local law, tribal law, or not-for-profit matters; Legislative/policy development and advocacy; Government contracts, grant management and compliance; and a variety of other matters involving energy, environmental, land use, or sustainability issues. Membership in at least one State Bar essential.
