PwC is currently seeking a Senior Associate for our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice. As a Senior Associate, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of problem solvers, helping clients with their state and local tax responsibilities and providing valuable insights and solutions.

Job Summary:
As a Senior Associate at PwC, you will be part of our State and Local Indirect Tax practice, where you will assist clients with business restructuring, new tax laws, and local tax developments. You will also help clients manage their indirect tax responsibilities, such as value added taxes, sales and use taxes, and federal excise taxes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Use feedback and self-reflection to develop personal strengths and address areas for improvement.
- Delegate tasks to provide growth opportunities for team members and coach them to deliver results.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially with complex issues.
- Utilize various tools and techniques to extract insights from industry trends.
- Review work for quality, accuracy, and relevance.
- Understand when and how to use available tools and explain the reasoning behind the choice.
- Seek out and embrace opportunities to gain exposure to different situations and perspectives.
- Communicate effectively and build quality relationships.
- Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Preferred certifications: CPA or active member of the Bar.
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
- Knowledge of state and local tax issues, including tax planning, restructuring, due diligence, and audit management.
- Familiarity with sales and use tax matters, such as FAS 5, reverse audits, and tax planning.
- Ability to identify and address client needs and actively participate in discussions and meetings.
- Proven leadership skills, including creating a positive work environment, providing feedback, and keeping leadership informed of progress and issues.
- Strong research skills and ability to develop a point of view on business and industry trends.
- Experience with automation and digitization, including working with large data sets and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with pricing, client value, and negotiation processes.
