Law Firm Seeking Associate Attorney for Litigation Department in Independence, OH

Zwicker & Associates, . is a national creditor rights law firm with 38 offices and over 900 employees across the United States. We are currently seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team and assist in our debt collection and litigation efforts. Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 per year

Responsibilities:

- Communicate effectively with team members and outside parties
- Draft, review, and file legal pleadings and motions
- Review litigation case files and determine appropriate action
- Advocate for client's interests in various litigation settings
- Utilize internal software to update and document account status
- Analyze and process litigation inventory reports
- Comply with client and firm procedures
- Travel to courtrooms within the branch office footprint as needed
- Perform other assigned duties

Qualifications:

- Admission to practice law in Ohio, PA admission required for paperwork
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and eager to learn
- Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload

Preferred qualifications:

- Minimum of one year of litigation/trial experience
- Working knowledge of civil procedure
- Debt collection experience
- Prior experience in a high-volume environment

Physical qualifications:

- Able to lift 5 pounds or more
- Able to sit for 90% of the work day
- Able to bend and move when needed
- Able to read and comprehend documents
- Able to communicate effectively
- Able to travel occasionally
- Able to operate a computer or phone
- Able to work a flexible 40-hour schedule
