This individual will provide strategic legal advice on a broad range of technology related matters and will work closely with the bank's Global Technology organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of technology and the regulatory environment, and will have experience in transactional, regulatory, and advisory work. Responsibilities: - Counsel clients on legal issues related to technology products and services - Ensure technology transactions and deployments comply with applicable laws and regulations - Work with Legal, Compliance, and business teams to implement regulatory changes and respond to inquiries - Resolve disputes with technology vendors and suppliers - Update and train internal clients on relevant legal developments in technology - Structure collaborative alliances with academic institutions, governments, and industry partners - Provide strategic advice to internal clients that balance business objectives and legal risk Requirements: - Juris Doctor from an accredited law school - Active member in good standing of at least one state bar - At least 7 years of experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department of a government agency, technology company, or bank or other financial services company - Deep understanding of and strong interest in technology - Strong command of laws and regulations applicable to technology in the financial services industry - Experience drafting, negotiating, and providing guidance on agreements related to technology products and services - Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple issues, and interact effectively with personnel at all levels - Strong team player with the ability to promote cooperation and solve problems in a timely and professional manner - Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and practical way Skills: - Advisory - Critical thinking - Interpretation of laws, rules, and regulations - Legal drafting and writing - Policies, procedures, and guidelines - Decision making - Issue management - Problem solving - Regulatory compliance - Attention to detail - Collaboration - Influence - Legal structures and forms - Stakeholder management Education and Shift: - Minimum education requirement: Juris Doctor - Shift: 1st shift (United States of America) - Hours per week: 40 Salary Information: This position offers a competitive salary based on experience.
