SpaceX is seeking a Telecommunications Counsel to join their team in Africa and help navigate the legal and regulatory landscape for their revolutionary satellite constellation, Starlink. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of a company with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.

Key Responsibilities:

- Advise the Starlink team on laws, regulations, and policies impacting business in Africa, with a focus on telecommunications and internet services.
- Analyze and communicate legal and regulatory risks to support compliance decisions and licensing in Africa.
- Develop tools to help the legal, business, and technical teams understand and comply with requirements in multiple jurisdictions.
- Monitor legal and policy developments related to the Starlink business.

Basic Qualifications:

- .
- 5+ years of professional experience in regulatory compliance in the telecommunications industry, specifically with broadband and/or satellite services.
- Active bar membership in at least one . state or foreign jurisdiction.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

- Fluency in French.
- Knowledge of telecommunications business and regulatory issues outside of the .
- Prior experience managing legal issues for a high-growth multinational company.

Compensation and Benefits:

- Pay range: Telecommunications Counsel: $190, - $230, year. Actual salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
- Total rewards package includes base salary, long-term incentives, potential bonuses, 401(k) retirement plan, comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various discounts and perks.
- 3 weeks of paid vacation and 10 or more paid holidays per year.
- Eligibility for 5 days of sick leave per year.
