KPMG is currently seeking an experienced Executive Director to join our Office of General Counsel (OGC) as part of the Litigation group. In this role, you will provide legal support on a wide range of civil litigation, regulatory investigations, and other legal matters. Responsibilities:

- Provide legal counsel on civil litigation, third-party subpoenas, regulatory investigations, and government inquiries
- Represent KPMG and its professionals in civil litigation proceedings and regulatory investigations
- Develop and implement strategies to successfully resolve litigation and regulatory matters
- Supervise outside counsel and collaborate with other members of OGC to deliver high-quality legal representation
- Report to and consult with the Vice Chair for Legal, Regulatory & Compliance/General Counsel and the Deputy General Counsel for Litigation
- Assist in financial projections for supervised matters

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 18 years of experience in a well-regarded law firm or in-house legal department
- Experience defending complex civil litigation and regulatory investigations involving accounting firms or financial institutions preferred
- JD or LLM from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in the .
- Experience with the SEC, PCAOB, or similar regulatory/law enforcement agency a plus
- Strong ability to manage multiple litigations and projects, with strategic thinking and high ethical standards
- Excellent analytical, writing, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Demonstrated collaboration skills and client-service orientation

Salary Information:

- Salary range: $331,000 - $737,000 (California)
- Determined based on skills, experience, and market considerations
