The successful candidate will have prior insurance defense experience and will be responsible for handling cases from start to finish, including pre-suit through trial. There is no billing requirement for this position. Responsibilities include: - Demonstrating proficiency in case management software and Microsoft products - Timely reporting to clients and claims customers - Independently handling cases as lead counsel or as part of a team - Utilizing technology and collaborating with support staff to efficiently manage cases - Staying up-to-date with changes in the law, technology, and other aspects of the legal and insurance industries - Providing sound opinions on case valuations - Building and maintaining professional relationships with key associates and colleagues - Mentoring and training junior attorneys and staff - Communicating effectively with clients, claims, and internal teams Requirements: - - Active license in the state of Pennsylvania - Minimum of 8 years of relevant civil litigation experience in property and casualty insurance defense or subrogation - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong negotiation skills - Ability to process information efficiently and effectively - Resourceful and creative problem solver - Computer savvy with a solid understanding of basic software - Strong time management and organization skills - Leadership skills for motivating, problem solving, and business development - Familiarity with ethical rules and corporate policies Working conditions for this position may include a combination of office and remote work, frequent travel, and extended hours.
