A law firm in Memphis, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney or Of Counsel with 2-10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have a federal clerkship background, distinguished academic achievements, superior writing and analytical skills, and experience in Electronic Discovery and federal court writing. They will be expected to have meaningful involvement in ongoing litigation cases on a national scale.

 

Duties:

  • Handle complex commercial litigation cases.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Work closely with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and development.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Manage deadlines and case schedules effectively.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior associates and legal staff.

 

Requirements:

  • Federal clerkship background preferred.
  • Distinguished academic achievements.
  • Superior writing and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience in Electronic Discovery and federal court writing highly desirable.
  • Valid law license mandatory.
  • 2-10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Valid law license.

 

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
