Overview

The Tax Experienced Associate will have the opportunity to work with clients on a variety of tax compliance and consulting projects. This position will specialize in US individual tax services and will have the chance to work remotely with a flexible schedule. As an internal position within Baker Tilly, the Experienced Associate will have the unique opportunity to work closely with firm leadership and have a direct impact on the success of the firm.

Responsibilities

- Provide tax compliance and advisory services to partnerships, including tax preparation, planning, and consulting.
- Conduct tax research and draft responses to IRS inquiries.
- Collaborate with leaders on special projects related to flow-through taxation.
- Develop recommendations for leadership to strategize and discuss.
- Team with specialty tax practices on complex tax matters.
- Participate in firm-wide learning and development programs.
- Utilize entrepreneurial skills to build relationships and network internally.
- Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy.
- Promote work-life balance through social activities and team outings.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, law, or related field.
- Sufficient coursework and credits to sit for CPA or Bar exam in state of consideration.
- CPA license preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in federal tax compliance and consulting in a public accounting firm.
- Strong skills in time management, communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, collaboration, and problem solving.
- Leadership, project management, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- No immigration sponsorship available for this position.

Salary Information

- California, Colorado, New York, and Washington: $61,070 - $105,480 per year.
- Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
- Eligible for discretionary bonus or commission program.

- 1+ years of experience in federal tax compliance and consulting in a public accounting firm.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, law, or related field.
