Responsibilities:
- Consult with clients and client engagement teams on a full range of tax technical areas
- Generate thought leadership alerts, articles, and other content
- Liaise with Treasury, IRS, and Capitol Hill to monitor developments
- Lead internal knowledge sharing and develop client service offerings and tools
- Ensure focus on tax quality and client service excellence

Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of continuous recent public accounting experience
- Experience working for a Big 4 or large national, regional, or local accounting firm
- CPA license or JD required
- Strong expertise in federal tax credits, specifically R&D credit
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in technology and research and technical writing
- Experience in tax controversy is a plus

Join the RSM team as a Tax Manager in the Federal Credits & Incentives department at the Washington National Tax office. As a Tax Manager, you will have the opportunity to use your expertise in taxation to provide compliance and consulting services for RSM's growing tax practice. This role specifically focuses on research and development, providing an opportunity to join a high-performing team.

As a Tax Manager, you will have the opportunity to consult with clients and client engagement teams, generate thought leadership content, and liaise with government agencies to monitor developments. You will also have the opportunity to lead internal knowledge sharing, develop client service offerings and tools, and ensure a focus on tax quality and client service excellence.

To be considered for this role, you should have 5-7 years of continuous public accounting experience and a CPA license or JD. Experience with federal tax credits, especially R&D credit, is required, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in technology and research and technical writing.
