Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience to join their dynamic team. Duties:

  • Conduct legal research on tax law and related areas to provide accurate and timely advice.
  • Handle strategic and private equity mergers and acquisitions transactions, capital markets activities (including spin-offs and IPOs), investment fund formation, and real estate matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and other transactional documents.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners to develop legal strategies and solutions for clients.
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients on various complex legal issues.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and other legal proceedings as needed.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact clients.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience as an attorney.
  • Class-year-appropriate understanding of the technical aspects of tax law with strong research abilities.
  • Experience in strategic and private equity mergers and acquisitions transactions, capital markets, investment fund formation, and/or real estate matters.
  • Outstanding writing, oral communication, and analytical skills.
  • Top academic credentials from a reputable law school.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the State Bar.
