Associate General Counsel III – Litigation This is a hybrid, remote position with the possibility of being based in Saint Louis, MO; Tempe, AZ; or another location within the United States. The role of Associate General Counsel III – Litigation is a unique opportunity for an experienced litigator to join a well-established Fortune 500 firm and play a key role in defending the Firm's interests and advising key business stakeholders. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be a thought leader within the Firm, working on a diverse set of legal issues and collaborating with associates and leaders throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities: Manage a diverse portfolio of litigation pending in state and federal courts across the country, as well as before industry arbitration panels. Develop and implement strategy for complex civil litigation and class actions. Oversee outside counsel and drive litigation strategy. Create and improve internal litigation processes. Educate business partners on pending litigation matters and formulate strategies to reduce risk throughout the Firm. Collaborate with associates and leaders throughout the Firm to leverage their subject-matter expertise in providing advice and direction for litigation matters. Salary Information: Hiring Minimum: $163,886 Hiring Maximum: $279,048 Requirements: Deep knowledge and experience in complex litigation and trial practice, with first or second chair trial or arbitration experience preferred. Ability to partner with business stakeholders to provide advice and build understanding around emerging and ongoing initiatives. Initiative and ability to add value in a dynamic litigation and regulatory environment. Experience managing litigation portfolios in a law firm or in-house setting. Familiarity with regulatory issues in the securities industry, particularly SEC, FINRA, and state securities regulators. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Leadership, delegation, and mentoring abilities. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable. Sound judgment, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to think independently and strategically, and execute tactically. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong collaboration skills and ability to build legal understanding with business partners. Commitment to ethics, professionalism, and confidentiality. Education and Experience: . from an ABA-accredited law school. License to practice law in Missouri, or a reciprocal state. Minimum of 10 years of progressive responsibility as a litigator in private practice, public sector, or in-house counsel capacity.
