Sodoma Law is looking for an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join their team in Belmont, NC. This is a great opportunity to join a law firm that is expanding its practice areas and footprint across the Carolinas.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a licensed attorney in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar, with 4+ years of experience in a civil litigation law firm. They should be creative, organized, energetic, self-motivated, and a problem solver. They should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be an active member of their community.

Responsibilities include providing legal advice to clients, drafting documents and pleadings, research, discovery, and managing their own caseload.

#### Job Summary

#### Job Responsibilities

- Provide legal advice to clients in hearings, settlement negotiations, and mediation
- Meet with clients, draft documents and pleadings, research, and discovery
- Manage their own caseload of clients as well as their team
- Maintain consistent communication with their team and clients

#### Qualifications

- Licensed and in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar (Licensed in South Carolina is a plus)
- 4+ years’ experience working in a civil litigation law firm
- Ability to understand Local Rules and how they apply to their cases
- Adequate skill in working independently on cases while maintaining a client base
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills specifically in high-stress and emotional situations
- Ability to maintain professionalism while showing empathy to all clients
- Creative and able to think outside of the box
- Organized
- Energetic
- Self-motivated
- Problem solvers with the ability to identify solutions
- Active members of their community (Gaston, Cleveland, and Lincoln County involvement is a plus)
