Patent Agent
The candidate will be overseeing the foreign prosecutions, providing opinions on matters relating to US patents. Will be providing advice/support on litigation and transactional matters involving US intellectual property issues, updating the Japanese qualified attorneys and staff on current US practice and US legal developments, and providing general advice in connection with copyright/trademark matters and related matters.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have registration to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office. Must have 2+ years of experience either in private practice or in-house as a registered US patent agent, with significant prosecution experience. A degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (though other engineering or related disciplines may also be considered) is needed. Note: The position is for two or three days work per week except national holidays. Note: A 2+ years of employment contract (notice clause is provided in the contract) is required.
