I was told at hiring that the partners would mentor me and "want to see me succeed only second to my parents." Yet, on the first day, I was told I know as little as someone with only a high school degree because I couldn't repeat a rule of civil procedure verbatim. Throughout the first few days, I observed the partners yelling at every associate and several paralegals for minor mistakes. There was no mentoring, and no support. I was thrown into a position with little to no experience, and they expected perfection.
Both. One partner would just stare blankly at you (as some of the other reviews have said) if you bother asking her a question. The other seems to enjoy seeing his employees on the verge of tears after belittling them for hours on end.
My favorite thing about this firm was the freedom I felt in the moment I left. I learned to wait for the right job to come along and really succeed in this industry.
