You Should Not Dabble: To Succeed It’s All or Nothing
3 Star Rating
Milbank LLP follows the set of hiring criteria outlined below.
As the firm continues to grow within the US and across Europe and Asia, Milbank Tweed is on a constant look-out for legal and non-legal professionals with diverse backgrounds and who demonstrate a high level of creativity, determination, enthusiasm, intelligence, and leadership. The firm has an extremely stringent hiring process and considers pervious work experience and an established passion for the law.
In the latter half of the 1930s, Milbank Tweed's name partner Harrison Tweed wrote "providing competent legal services for all is an obligation of the bar," and today, after more than 75 years, public service still remains an obligation that the firm is proud to fulfill. Milbank Tweed is one of the few US firms where each and every attorney of the firm, regardless of status or practice area, is required to dedicate a minimum of 20 hours every year to pro bono work. Further, the firm's unique Fellowship program enables its first-year and fourth-year associates to work for three months at full pay at a pro bono legal services provider of their choice. Ranked sixth for its pro bono commitment on the American Lawyer's elite 2011 A-List, Milbank Tweed believes, "Pro bono isn't just what we do; it is part of who we are and has been for more than a century."
Thank you.
