Frederick oversees every retained and contingent assignment. He has been recognized as one of the best in the legal search field for over twenty years. Mr. Shelton has coordinated law firm mergers and acquisitions, and placed Partners, Associates and Counsel throughout the United States. Frederick has held positions as the CMO of a litigation boutique, Executive Director of an intellectual property boutique and was the Director of the Legal Division of the largest privately held employment agency in America. Frederick started Shelton & Steele with a simple philosophy: We will prioritize people over profits. He has always placed the focus on the best interest of the candidate. The result is that has been a two year retention rate of over 97% (the industry average is just over 63%). Frederick proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy. He has always given to his community, having been a volunteer counselor at The Storefront Teen Crisis Center, Children's Hospital, the Turning Point Homeless Center and as the President of 1 Class at a Time Program. Frederick also volunteers with the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) at Creech and Nellis Air Force Bases, teaching resume writing, job search and research techniques and other subjects to our troops making the transition to civilian life. Frederick and his wife live just outside of Las Vegas in Henderson, Nevada. He enjoys volunteering, tennis, golf, writing and playing chess.
