The management needs to work together and change their attitude towards and treatment of the associates. They should stop speaking ill of their staff and cursing the clients. They need to stop with the rudeness, arrogance and self-centeredness. Then and only then will the atmosphere change.

The assignments and projects give an associate a great experience. There are a variety of healthcare clients that come through the door. There is a constant rotation on the type of work that associates are exposed to from appeals and transactions to research and litigation. The work never gets boring and an associate is constantly busy.

This firm thrives on the phrase "sink or swim." The partners are not helpful; they claim to be too busy to mentor new associates and do not provide clear directions. They give retaliatory, arbitrary and unrealistic deadlines and throw work at you. Some of the partners have screaming and cursing matches with each other. They are constantly fighting for power and control of the tiny firm, which puts the associates in a difficult position. The turnover of associates is very high; the firm is known as a revolving door for attorneys. It definitely is a difficult place to work and I would advise an associate think hard before (s)he takes a position here. Having said that, this firm could be used as a stepping stone to the next place of employment.
