Advice to law firm management:
Easing up on the workload would make a lot of people happy. It's no fun to work late every night and show up on Saturday every week.
Pros:
I'm fairly happy with the compensation package I received, and the benefits are pretty good. The associates and partners here are all very knowledgeable and willing to go out of their way to help.
Cons:
The workload here is much higher than I anticipated, and management is not very forgiving. Associates are expected to meet goals no matter what. Late nights and weekends are pretty much a given.

Advice to law firm management:
Drop your suit, or serve multiple tours. Then come home and get shit on by everyone, the legal system, and your loved ones. You're welcome Bitch.
Pros:
The best is the Firm gets more wealthy for negligence.
Cons:
Failure to do simple tasks, or check a simple box, has cost many veterans, time, money and a piece of mind. Instead of owning their mistake, they sued a very small non profit doing their best to help Veterans struggling with disabilities. CONGRATS! YOU ARE THE PROBLEM IN AMERICA!!! You have a 2 star rating... I deployed 3 times for you... You're welcome. 2 star rating on Google is straight trash, but that's reaching. Is there a negative 5 button anywhere?

Our summer program is purposefully limited, as the goal of our summer program is to evaluate the skills and judgments made by the next generation of Elliott Greenleaf associates and shareholders, and ensure that each summer associate receives an education in the writing and advocacy skills required in Elliott Greenleaf's practice.
To fulfill this goal, the summer program is designed as if each summer associate were a first year attorney. The firm assigns two mentors to each summer associate; the mentors provide the summer associate with advice on writing, advocacy and practical aspects of working in our offices. The summer associate receives assignments on a variety of litigation, healthcare, business and regulatory matters representative of the firm's practice areas, from attorneys in all of our offices. This sampling is intended to introduce the summer associate to our diverse practice areas, while ever mindful of the quality of work product required in each area. The mentors review the written work product, provide comments, and ensure that feedback is timely and thorough.
