I would suggest not assuming that an employee is stupid. Maybe try to get to know them first before insinuating such to their face. It's rude and honestly it's offensive.

The office manager, Stacy, is really nice and has great energy. She is really funny and easy going. You can tell that she has a great ability to feel empathy.

The office is in a very large old house that smells like old people. The decor and carpet leaves much to be desired. The attorneys are at times very rude and condescending. The support staff spends the entire day complaining about the work and about the other members of the support staff. Clearly none of them have ever worked in litigation, because they can't handle any stress at all. The support staff are all crammed into a back room together where there is a constant leak in the ceiling. They are unable to keep anyone in the asset transfer position, because either Amy has them fired after a short amount of time or they leave because the environment is just awful. I believe that Amy, who is one of the legal assistants, might possibly have Narcissist Personality Disorder. She has an extremely fragile ego and if she feels even slightly threatened by another employee, even if it's completely made up in her head, she makes it her goal to make things difficult for them. She looks like an elf and smiles all the time, but I overheard her complaining to Andrea Schanker about every single other employee and quite honestly blatantly lying about them. If she makes a mistake, she will absolutely not take any responsibility for it and will find a way to blame someone else, anyone else. She raises her voice and gets very aggressive with Mr. Hochberg, and no one else seems to find this alarming. She had Andrea Schanker convinced that I was a complete moron, when in fact, I have an IQ of 152. It became very clear, very quickly, that Amy really runs the office and Andrea Schanker is completely and totally manipulated by her. Ms. Schanker supposedly has a BS in psychology but it's clear that it was a wise choice for her not to continue in that field, seeing as she has an employee who is most likely suffering from an undiagnosed personality disorder and she can't see the forest from the trees. It makes one question the nature of her relationship with Amy. I worked there for one month doing asset transfers. Amy would change the rules of how she wanted things done every other day, so that no matter what you did, it was wrong. She had Andrea Schanker fire me. On the day I was fired there was a snow storm, you would think that since they knew they were firing me they would have let me go earlier in the day, seeing as it was a snow storm, but no, Ms. Schanker waited until 4:45 p.m. and then acted like she did me a huge favor by telling me 15 minutes before I was scheduled to leave. On my way home, a very large branch from a tree fell onto my car nearly killing me, thankfully it didn't. It took me less than a week to find another job making more money and in a much better environment. Looking back at the one month I spent there just seems like some really bad acid trip or nightmare. At one point during it, I actually questioned whether I was in a coma or something, because it was just so surreal. It was by far the most bazaar work experience of my entire life, and I used to be a bar tender in NYC when I was young, so I think that is really saying something. They hired someone after me, who they fired after one month and now they are looking for another unsuspecting victim to fill the role of asset transfer paralegal. God speed to anyone who decides to work for this firm.

Mr. Schanker can be very rude and condescending. Mr. Hochberg speaks very loudly and seems to be perpetually frustrated. Andrea Schanker will believe and do whatever Amy wants her to.

Stacy and the two receptionists are very nice and easy to get along with. It's in a convenient location and they do turn up the heat if you are cold.
