As the primary source of associate hires, the Summer Program is the firm's most successful recruiting program. Over the past ten years, a majority of new associates hired were former Willcox Savage summer associates.
The Summer Associate Program affords first- and second-year law students an opportunity for exposure to both the business and litigation sides of the firm. The firm makes an effort to introduce the summer associate to several areas of law by assigning a variety of projects, including researching and writing traditional memoranda dealing with legal issues; drafting pleadings and briefs; drawing contracts and corporate and partnership documents; preparing analyses of securities and other documents; attending trials and depositions; and participating in client and attorney conferences and negotiations.
