Advice to law firm management: Management needs to be in the office more to evaluate as situations occur during business hours that can put a negative impact on the morale/atmosphere of working environment.

Pros: You get alot of holiday's off, PTO accrued, and management is flexible with making up time if coming in late is needed as long as you don't abuse it.

Cons: There's no room for advancement.

Partners to Avoid and Why: There was one in particular that is a liar and talks very nasty to the staff.

Favorite Things About this Firm: The firm has alot of holiday's off and PTO days to take.

Current or former employee?: Current Employee

Job type: Full time

Advice to law firm management: The morale really needs a boost here. Many of these sour people don't love what they are doing. Hire more people that are passionate about their work.

Pros: I was able to practice and engage in some very challenging work. There were a lot of opportunities to travel for job related seminars and retreats.

Cons: There are several groups within this firm with bad attitudes. Many firms will have their bad seeds, but these were entire groups that had such a negative outlook. I dreaded being around some of these people.

MDM&C has approximately 300 lawyers in twelve offices in seven states, and offers a full range of legal services, including municipal and local government, litigation, labor and employment, healthcare, bankruptcy/restructuring, real estate, insurance, environmental, fidelity and surety, construction, corporate transactions, white collar crime and corporate compliance. Clients who seek the assistance of MDM&C will discover lawyers dedicated to providing superior service and personal attention to clients’ needs. The Firm has developed a national reputation and regional expertise without abandoning the focus on efficiency and client satisfaction that is oftentimes the hallmark of the best small firms. Why do clients turn to MDM&C? What is it about our Firm that has enabled it to sustain continued growth in a time of economic uncertainty? What is it about our Firm that generates such client loyalty that over eighty percent of our annual business comes from former or current clients and client recommendations? The answer is that MDM&C has a tradition of providing exemplary service to clients, of placing the client first. In the practice of law, what does “placing the client first” really mean? It means a commitment to excellence. It means dedicated professionals who care about providing the best possible service to clients. It means a commitment to providing superior, timely, and effective assistance. It means lawyers who are “hands-on” practitioners involved full-time in providing solutions to client problems. It means having a shared vision and a shared purpose with clients and a dedication to achieving their goals. Those are some of the attributes that have brought us the satisfaction and the loyalty of our clients, year after year. Our attorneys may engage in courtroom litigation, negotiate a complex contract, counsel on a tax or regulatory matter, or provide private client services. Whatever the legal or business situation, our lawyers understand that clients trust and appreciate lawyers who genuinely care about their problems and provide them with effective and innovative results. We respond to our clients’ needs promptly and serve their interests efficiently. Effective communication with our clients marks the way we operate at MDM&C. We are determined to create successful and long-lasting relationships with the people and the business institutions we represent. The bottom line in our relationship with clients is, of course, “results” – the ultimate measure of the effectiveness of any law firm. Our lawyers at MDM&C are committed to overcoming difficult situations in achieving our clients’ goals – and to doing it time after time.

Diversity

MDM&C recognizes that Diversity and Inclusion strengthens our principal mission: the ability to provide the highest quality legal services to our clients.

As a multi-state firm that serves a wide array of clients, we know that a synergistic decision-making process plays a crucial role in first understanding a problem and then achieving the best solution to that problem. Diversity and Inclusion is integral to the robust decision-making process essential to providing excellent legal representation.

Above all, since its founding, MDM&C has believed that the most significant benefits of Diversity and Inclusion are the promotion of equal opportunities for all persons combined with the creation of a workforce in which persons will be able to learn from and build on their differences to the ultimate benefit of themselves, the Firm and the Firm's clients.

Summer associate program

Our summer program is designed to provide law students with a well-rounded experience both personally and professionally. We have structured the summer program to provide a broad experience that reflects life as an associate at the Firm. Summer associates will learn how to practice law by working with experienced lawyers on complex matters for our clients. Summer associates will attend client meetings, trials, depositions, hearings, and negotiations. In addition to litigation experience, our summer associates are given the opportunity to assist with various complex business transactions.

Like a newly hired associate, summer associates will be assigned a mentor who is available to answer questions and help guide them through the summer program. The summer associate review process is similar to our associate review process. Each summer associate's work is reviewed and constructive feedback is provided.

Everyone Loves LawCrossing

LawCrossing is fantastic! When I am looking for a job, it is the first place I come to. The service is very good and I enjoyed the emails. LawCrossing has more jobs and it is more tailored. Other sites gave a lot of irrelevant results. Your site may have a great algorithm, but it felt like an actual person choosing jobs they felt would be good based on my search. I will always recommend this site!
