A law firm in Boca Raton is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with a focus on gaming regulatory experience, preferably with a background representing the tribal gaming space. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in drafting and arguing discovery motions, conducting and defending depositions, and possess exceptional oral and written advocacy skills. The candidate must have strong academic credentials, be adept in case management, and be ready to take the lead. Admission to practice in a state is required.

 

Job Duties:

  • Drafting and arguing discovery motions
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Conducting legal research and providing analysis
  • Developing case strategies and providing legal advice to clients
  • Managing and organizing case files and documents
  • Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and courts
  • Preparing pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Representing clients in hearings, trials, and other proceedings

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice in a state
  • 3+ years of experience representing clients in the gaming industry (casino gaming, sports betting, iGaming, fantasy sports, etc.)
  • Experience in a mid-size to large law firm setting
  • Proficiency in drafting and arguing discovery motions
  • Experience conducting and defending depositions
  • Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Familiarity with case management software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in at least one state
