Corporate Counsel, Contracts: Salary, Job Title, and Experience Information Salary Information: - Base salary range: $188,000 - $268,000 annually - Additional benefits include 401k plan, medical/dental/vision coverage, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, and opportunities for bonuses and stock purchase Job Title: - Corporate Counsel, Contracts Experience Information: - BS/BA degree in life sciences or related field - JD degree and admission to practice, preferably in California - 5-7 years of transactional experience as an attorney in a law firm or in-house legal environment Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Draft, revise, negotiate, and manage a wide range of contracts, including NDAs, master services agreements, consulting/professional services agreements, and software license agreements. - Advise and troubleshoot on existing agreements. - Identify risks and communicate them to internal decision-makers. - Liaise with internal clients to address legal and business questions. - Ensure contracts accurately reflect business terms and protect company interests. - Advise contract managers on complex negotiations. - Continuously improve contracting systems and processes. - Collaborate with other Legal Department team members to develop templates and playbooks. Education/Experience/Knowledge & Skills: - BS/BA degree, preferably in life sciences or a related field. - JD degree and admission to practice, preferably in California. - 5-7 years of transactional experience as an attorney in a law firm or in-house legal environment. - Possesses executive presence and strong communication skills. - Ability to implement organizational or team objectives. - Strong problem-solving skills. - Efficient, detail-oriented, and strong organizational skills. - Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. - Acts responsibly and works well under pressure. - Comfortable working independently and in a team environment. - Dedicated to quality and highest professional standards. - Self-starter and quick learner. - Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. Working Conditions: - Primarily indoor desk work. - Infrequent travel may be required.
