A law firm based in Knoxville, TN, is seeking an Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have litigation experience in Tennessee.

 

Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will work on a variety of legal matters under the guidance of experienced attorneys. They will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in litigation and other areas of law.

 

Duties:

  • Assist with legal research and analysis
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings
  • Participate in case strategy meetings
  • Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests
  • Assist with trial preparation and strategy
  • Handle administrative tasks related to case management

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar in Tennessee or eligibility for admission
  • Litigation experience in Tennessee preferred
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
