A law firm is seeking a Junior Associate Attorney to provide legal research and support in complex business litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate, excellent academic credentials, and at least 1 year of relevant experience. The Junior Associate Attorney will be responsible for drafting legal documents, attending hearings, and assisting with case management under the supervision of senior attorneys.

Duties:

  • Provide legal research and analysis in pleadings, memoranda, and other written documents.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other case-related documents.
  • Attend hearings and court proceedings as required.
  • Manage legal matters from commencement to final resolution.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients and supervising attorneys.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate with excellent academic credentials.
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in California.
  • Must also be licensed to practice in Oregon.
  • 1+ years of complex business litigation experience.
  • Familiarity with federal and state court procedural rules and practices.
  • Ability to prepare basic litigation documents.
  • Case management experience.
  • Clear and effective drafting skills.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Ability to learn new substantive legal topics as needed.
  • Effective and reliable legal services to clients and supervising attorneys.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organization and matter management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
