Tax Manager - Business Tax Services - Federal/Corporate Tax (Central Region Office Locations)

- Minimum 5 years of experience in federal tax compliance, accounting, provisions, analysis, and research

Position Summary:

- Strategic and creative federal tax professional with experience in tax advisory, compliance, and controversy
- Provides federal tax services to diverse client base in various industries
- Works directly with clients, manages engagement team, and has access to specialists for support
- Responsible for maintaining strong client relationships, advising on tax issues, and overseeing complex projects
- Provides leadership and career guidance for engagement team development and motivation

Responsibilities:

- Maintain and develop strong client relationships on various federal tax engagements
- Advise clients on tax issues including income tax accounting, FTA, tax provisions, compliance, business restructuring, and controversy
- Oversee complex federal tax projects for various entities and affiliates
- Manage engagement workflow, team resources, and billing
- Provide leadership and guidance for engagement team development and motivation

The Team:

- Deloitte Tax LLP's Business Tax Services team is dynamic and diverse, providing expertise to clients to integrate tax strategy into business operations
- Team includes subject matter experts and industry specialists to assist with global tax challenges and transform tax departments for greater impact and efficiency
- Offers a spectrum of business tax services for public and private companies, including planning, compliance, controversy, and specialized services

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work in hybrid work model, co-locating in person 2-3 days per week
- Minimum 5 years of experience in federal tax compliance, accounting, provisions, analysis, and research
