The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and authorizing warrant requests for felony and misdemeanor cases, juvenile petitions, and mental health petitions. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications: • Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited Law School • Member in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan • A valid Michigan driver’s license The position offers a competitive salary of $55,874 - $69,876 plus benefits. Responsibilities of the Assistant Prosecuting Attorney: • Primary responsibility is for criminal prosecution in District Court and juvenile delinquency proceedings in Family Court. • Reviews and authorizes warrant requests for felony and misdemeanor cases, juvenile petitions, and mental health petitions. • Assist with other matters as assigned. • Work under the supervision of the Prosecuting Attorney and the Chief Assistant.
