A law firm in Cleveland is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with 8+ years of civil litigation experience. The ideal candidate will be capable of independently managing files through trial in various insurance defense areas, including auto accidents, general personal injury, premises liability, and construction litigation.

Duties:

• Independently manage files from inception through trial.
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to insurance defense matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on litigation strategies.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on complex cases.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar and eligibility to practice law in Ohio.
• 8+ years of experience in civil litigation, preferably in insurance defense.
• Strong trial experience with the ability to handle cases independently.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar and eligibility to practice law in Ohio.
