IFG Companies is seeking a Senior Regulatory Counsel to join their legal and compliance team. This full-time regular position reports to the General Counsel and is responsible for providing guidance and solutions on compliance and regulatory matters. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of compliance experience, preferably as in-house counsel for a commercial property & casualty lines insurance company.

Responsibilities of the Senior Regulatory Counsel include staying up-to-date on regulatory changes, performing legal research, ensuring compliance controls are in place, and responding to Department of Insurance correspondence and exams. They will also oversee licensing processes and staff, manage corporate records, and assist with general legal tasks as needed.

The Senior Regulatory Counsel must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a thorough understanding of the . insurance regulatory and compliance environment. They should also have a JD from an ABA accredited law school and be admitted to practice law in at least one state.
