A law firm in Houston, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney or Of Counsel with 2-10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing and analytical capabilities, with a preference for those with a federal clerkship background. Experience in Electronic Discovery and federal court writing is highly desirable.

 

Duties:

  • Handle complex commercial litigation cases with meaningful involvement on a national scale.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and writing for ongoing litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for federal court proceedings.
  • Participate in case strategy development and client meetings.
  • Assist with Electronic Discovery processes and management.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff on case-related tasks.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and other litigation-related events.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Distinguished academic background with superior writing and analytical capabilities.
  • Preference given to candidates with a federal clerkship background.
  • 2-10 years of experience in complex commercial litigation.
  • Active law license in good standing.
  • Experience with Electronic Discovery and federal court writing preferred.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Valid law license in the state of Georgia.

 

Skills:
